I love blogging because i could express my thoughts and feelings and my friends could give their comment as well. i became more interactive and communicate better with all my friends.

2. What have you gained from blogging? How?
i gained so much through doing reflection as i learned so much and reflect to my actions and how others reacted so that i could improve myself.

3. What have you gained from blogging eg. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.
I gained more confidence as i had improved my learning and teaching skills. i also acquire problem solving skills and acquire the skills of using technology in teaching..

4. How?
by exploring and blogging!!

5. What do you like about this course?
I learned skills of using technology in teaching and learning.

6. What you do not like about this course?
too much of works in limited time..

7. What have you learnt from this course?
I gained more confidence as i had improved my learning and teaching skills. i also acquire problem solving skills and acquire the skills of using technology in teaching..

8. What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?
i didn't expect that there are so many methods or software that i could use to produce teaching materials...

9. What have u expected but do not learn from this course?
i learned so many positive things, none are not worth it..

10. If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?
less workloads and more group or interactive activities..

11. On a scale of 1 – 10, please rate your computing and technological skills for both before and after undergoing the course.
Before: 7. Now: 8!

i will surely benefit from these knowledge that i gained throughout this course....

last but not least...

What happened now? Erm.. what else… We went through the course all this while and now is the time where everything will be assessed and tested. Am I prepared? Should I not? Yes I am all prepared for the quiz. I went through the test quite well and I hope it will bloom-out with flying colours soon. Very soon. Lets pray for that.

e-learning

E-learning (or electronic learning or eLearning) encompasses forms of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) or very specific types of TEL such as online or Web-based learning. Nevertheless, the term does not have a universally accepted definition and there are divides in the e-learning industry about whether a technology-enhanced system can be called e-learning if there is no set pedagogy as some argue e-learning is: "pedagogy empowered by digital technology"

The term e-learning is ambiguous to those outside the e-learning industry, and even within its diverse disciplines it has different meanings to different people. For instance in companies, it often refers to the strategies that use the company network to deliver training courses to employees and lately in most Universities, e-learning is used to define a specific mode to attend a course or programmes of study where the students rarely or never meet face-to-face, nor access on-campus educational facilities, because they study online.

E-Learning can provide for major benefits for the organizations and individuals involved.

1. Improved performance: A 12-year meta-analysis of research by the U.S. Department of Education found that higher education students in online learning generally performed better than those in face-to-face courses.

2. Increased access: Instructors of the highest calibre can share their knowledge across borders, allowing students to attend courses across physical, political, and economic boundaries. Recognized experts have the opportunity of making information available internationally, to anyone interested at minimum costs. For example, the MIT OpenCourseWare program has made substantial portions of that university's curriculum and lectures available for free online.

3. Convenience and flexibility to learners: in many contexts, eLearning is self-paced and the learning sessions are available 24x7. Learners are not bound to a specific day/time to physically attend classes. They can also pause learning sessions at their convenience.

4. To develop the skills and competencies needed in the 21st century, and in particular to ensure that learners have the digital literacy skills required in their discipline, profession or career Bates (2009) states that a major argument for e-learning is that it enables learners to develop essential skills for knowledge-based workers by embedding the use of information and communications technologies within the curriculum. He also argues that using e-learning in this way has major implications for course design and the assessment of learners.

assignment submission...

last week, we failed to submit our teaching aids assignment due to some misunderstanding..but the mess was cleared and we succeed to submit at last.

we followed the format and we were so thankful that Pn. Foziah liked our piece of work. we put all of our energy and focus to the assignment.

it turned out to be a success for us. now, we are preparing to do and complete the lesson plan assignment.

this time, we also do in groups. my group members are Jong, Tina, and Afnan.. I've worked with these guys and they are awesome. we co-operate very well and divide our tasks so that the work are easier to complete.

i will do the speaking skill lesson plan and my mind is full of ideas to do the task as i have experiences throughout attending this b.ed TESL course.

i really hope all of us will produce the best lesson plan as we we are strong and resourceful by joining force.

video feedback...

last week, all of us need to present our video in front of the class...for me and my pair, we had been preparing a video about 1Malaysia..and the song that we use for the video is Negaraku...we're so happy because our video had received a positive feedback from our lecturer and also our friends...

i also can see that the video that had been prepared by other pairs is also good and interesting...i am so happy to see that everyone become more matured towards the end of this course...

audio editing????

A digital audio editor is a computer application for audio editing, i.e. manipulating digital audio. Digital audio editors are the main software component of a digital audio workstation.

Editors designed for use with music typically allow the user to do the following:
•Record audio from one or more inputs and store recordings in the computer's memory as digital audio

•Edit the start time, stop time, and duration of any sound on the audio timeline

•Fade into or out of a clip (e.g. an S-fade out during applause after a performance), or between clips (e.g. crossfading between takes)

•Mix multiple sound sources/tracks, combine them at various volume levels and pan from channel to channel to one or more output tracks

•Apply simple or advanced effects or filters, including compression, expansion, flanging, reverb, audio noise reduction and equalization to change the audio

•Playback sound (often after being mixed) that can be sent to one or more outputs, such as speakers, additional processors, or a recording medium

•Conversion between different audio file formats, or between different sound quality levels

Typically these tasks can be performed in a manner that is both non-linear and non-destructive.

Editors designed for use in speech research add the ability to make measurements and perform acoustic analyses such as extracting and displaying a fundamental frequency contour or spectrogram. They typically lack most or all of the effects of interest to musicians.

what is video editing???

Video editing is the process of editing segments of motion video footage, special effects and sound recordings. Motion picture film editing is a predecessor to video editing and, in several ways, video editing simulates motion picture film editing, in theory and the use of non-linear and linear editing systems. Using video or film, a director can communicate non-fictional and fictional events. The goals of editing is to manipulate these events for better or for worse communication. It is a visual art.
Modern non-linear editing systems are computer-based, though there was a transitional analog period using multiple source VCRs or LaserDisc players. Footage is played and captured on a hard drive. Content is ingested and recorded natively in the approriate codec which will be used by software such as MAGIX Video Pro X, Avid's Media Composer and Xpress Pro, Apple's Final Cut Pro, and Adobe's Premiere to manipulate the captured footage. High definition video is becoming more popular and can be readily edited using the same software along with related motion graphics programs. Clips are arranged on a timeline, music tracks and titles are added, effects can be created, and the finished program is "rendered" into a finished video. The video may then be distributed in a variety of ways including DVD, web streaming, Quicktime Movies, iPod, CD-ROM, or videotape.
